Captain Christmas Takes on the Aliens 12/17/2011
Cast from top - Pauline Clyne (Captain Christmas), Frankie Donaldson (Santa), Helen Russell (Sound Technician), Jenny Jackson (Little Claws), Ange Clarke (Gobo). Add Comment Panto Premiere 2011 12/17/2011
Captain Christmas premiered at St Mary's, Goondiwindi, under the skilled direction of Jenny Jackson. The cast - Pauline Clyne, Ange Clarke, Frankie Donaldson and Jenny - were phenomenal. They did a great job of the play and invoked rapturous responses from the kids watching. Pauline put together a brilliant sound effects disc which heightened it further. The interactive elements went over brilliantly and there was even spontaneous involvement like when the kids did a drumroll with their hands. Am loving Performing Arts Goondiwindi. Every time a coconut. :) Panto is coming 07/30/2011
Have plans for the panto - aliens et al. Just need to write it.... I must write the panto I must write the panto I must write the panto Log Off 07/30/2011
Log Off will premiere at The Naked Canvas, Performing Arts Goondiwindi's live show in September as part of the Gourmet in Gundy festival. In the wonderfully creative and naughty hands of director, Pauline Clyne. Should be good. Grassroots 05/24/2011
Grassroots will have its premiere production courtesy of the Gemco Theatre Company in Emerald. As well, it will be published in their 'Little Gems' edition of short plays for 2011. Never would have written it but for a looming deadline and production possibility - although it was a very therapeutic vent about neighbourly love or lack thereof! I really should try and write a play that isn't obsessed with sexual relations. One day. Magical Miles 03/30/2011
Duffers premiered in Miles on Saturday night. The cast were absolutely fantastic and the sound guys second to none. The setting for the night was gorgeous - the stage was the verandah of the saloon bar at Miles Historical Village. I was thrilled to bits and the boys reckoned it was the best one yet! Big thankyou to Ann and Ted for running such a brilliant event. A beautiful little offshoot of writing plays is that you get to go off to places you perhaps wouldn't have got to. I just loved everything about this night. Duffers and Grassroots Premier 03/30/2011
Grassroots premiered at Live @ The Hut, Goondiwindi's performers' platform, March 26th. Paddy Martin, Michelle Sheridan, Phil Sheridan and Helen Russell did a fantastic reading to a happy crowd and an even happier playwright. Duffers will premiere in Miles this Saturday at a Radio Cabaret in the village. Looking forward to it Panto Premiere! 12/20/2010
A Christmas Caper had its world premiere at St Mary's School in front of 600 screamingly appreciative children on December 1st. The cast were brilliant and had a hard time quelling audience participation! Two public shows were also held at the Goondiwindi Cultural Centre. The best one yet! Radio play prize 09/26/2010
Duffers has been awarded second place in the Dogwood Initiative Radioplay Competition - Australia's richest radioplay comp. It will be performed in Miles in 2011. Big thankyou to Adrian, Pauline, Dave and Jo S and Craig and Sarah B who helped out with the finer details of cattle theft. And a big thankyou to Dana Lyons for letting me use his cool song, Cows with Guns. Kaleidoscope 08/04/2010
Love & Lycra performed as part of Gold Coast Little Theatre's One Act Play season. "Congratulations Carolyn on writing such a fabulous play. It was so well received by our audiences! Very much the favourite of the season I think. The cast were spot on and so good and Helen did a wonderful job directing. Cheers and thanks again for sending in your baby for us to tackle." - Ruth Henderson GCLT | AuthorCarolyn is an enthusiastic wordsmith and eater. ArchivesDecember 2011 Categories |
